My wife, (Claire) and myself, (Alan) started our design studio when living in San Jose, the "Silicon Valley" of California, just fifty miles south of San Francisco. At the time we wanted a unique name for our company so we called it Lichfield Graphics. Why? After the name of the city in England where Claire was born and also where we married.

At the end of 1998 we moved back to England to be close to our family, leaving lots of great friends and fond memories behind. The funny thing is though, since then, many of our new clients are based in California, so we quite often get chance to return and also many of our old friends come to visit us each year. It's almost like we never left...

Now we are back in England and living in Worcestershire people keep asking, "why Lichfield Graphics when your studio is in Worcestershire?". So to avoid confusion and at the same time take the opportunity to do a bit of spring-cleaning and add updated content to our web-site, we decided to rename our company to, The Icon Studio and create the web-site you are now looking at.

You tell me what you need, I create the designs, and then publish the results on a private web-site created specifically for your project. After the review, feedback, and revision process, the final approved designs are easily downloaded directly to your desktop. Remote development speeds up the design process, helping you to save time while dramatically lowering production and people costs.

As well as publishing the actual work on your project web-site I can also publish schedules, to-do lists, your feedback and project notes and if you require, time-sheets and invoices. This way you have one central place to monitor progress and project manage.
